12×10 G-GH Dredge & Gravel Pump for Slag Granulation
What is the Slag Granulation System?
Efficient blast furnace slag granulation contributes to low-cost molten iron and converts residues into resources
A modern blast furnace can produce more than 1 million tons of slag per year. Slag granulation using water spray is now a well-established technology that not only simplifies blast furnace foundry operations, but also provides an economical way to produce valuable raw materials for many industries. A slag granulation plant consists of three parts: granulation, dewatering and storage.
The current peak capacity of the slag granulation plant is 8 t/min. The system consists of thermal well tanks, cooling towers, pumps, pipelines and valves. Two water circuits, each with G/GH gravel centrifugal pumps, provide the water needed for slag granulation.
12/10G-GH Gravel Dredge Pump Design Features:
√ GH high head gravel pump is cantilevered horizontal centrifugal pump designed for handling the most difficult higher abrasive slurries which contain too big solids to be pumps by a common slurry pump.
√ Construction of this pump is of single casing connected by means of clamp bands and wide wet-passage. The wet-parts are made of Ni-hard and high chromium abrasion-resistance alloys.
√ The discharge direction of pump can be oriented in any direction of 360°.
√ closed impeller with wide passage, good performance of NPSH and abrasion resistance.
√ All the wet parts are made of wear resistant high chrome alloy material. They are suitable for delivering slurry in mining, metal melting, dredging, barge loading.
